You don't want to miss what the men of The Plow have in store, we promise.
I sat down with The Plow co-host, Terrance Jones, and got a chance to pick his brain about what The Plow stands for and what we can expect in upcoming shows. The station that started off predominately hip hop has been transformed to a more mature and "adult" station, with the help of an associate Pastor from Fairfield Baptist Church, that focuses on issues abroad as well as the ones transpiring in our own backyard. Especially the economic and political issues in the Eastern Henrico area of Virginia. One of his main points in reference to this was the new "shopping center" (if it can even be called that) that's in the works to replace the old Fairfield Commons. Eastgate Town Centre is in the process of filling the soon to be vacated lot that was the shell of a shopping mall.
Being anchored by a Wal-mart, Eastgate is looking to be what I call a "ratchet's hideout" and this is of course, a concern for various reasons.
These are the types of greviences and discussions that are going to take place every Monday at 7pm.
Let the men of The Plow fill you with the information that's important but still seems to be overlooked.
The truth.

My first question was of course, what is The Plow and how did it get it's name.

Terrance explained that it was based out of the scripture Isaiah 1:17

" Learn to do right; seek justice.
    Defend the oppressed.[a]
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow." (NIV)

He simply stated, "The Plow does just that."

He went on to explain that he and his co-host Donnie Brown are basing creating a pathway for people to understand the media that is being diluted by local and national news stations. These Christian men are providing a gateway to the truth and "Plowing through the foolishness" as they educate listeners on real issues the right way all while preparing their audience for the return of Christ.

While aiming to reach the ears of the politically enlightened Christian, Terrance and Donnie are also targeting the interests of the millennial: understands the information that they have access to or also known as the people that refer to themselves as “being woke”and, the “truthers” or the conspiracy theorist but we do agree that if you give the show your attention, there is something for everyone.

Next I asked Terrance to describe The Plow in three words.
He said,
Informed, Determined Christians.

I made it a point to ask Terrance for advice directed at young entrepreneurs on how he recommends they stay humble and stable in such growing and demanding industries.
He gave me a quote.

"If the light that is on you is brighter than the light that is in you, the light that is on you will destroy you."

He went on to say that we don't have a choice but to stay humble, to keep our head down, and continue to work so that we will be ready and prepared to enjoy our due season. He said that the focus is never on you, the focus is on the story and the people that are doing the work behind the story. They deserve the shine.

So be sure to sell the brand and let the product speak for you.

Now that we've gotten a closer look into what The Plow is about we need to make sure we're tuning in every Monday at 7pm by visiting!

Let's be sure to support Christian men who are doing something positive and giving a voice to those who may not be able to speak as loudly.
