Loc Love Week: Jessi Fenner

Welcome back to LOC LOVE WEEK!!!! This showcase is still in full effect and we're super excited about our next feature!
But first, our LOC LOVE FACT of the night!
One of our favorite loc'd sisters has a new book out and it's definitely a recommended read!
Terry McMillan, author of Waiting to Exhale has penned a need novel, "Who Asked You?!"
Here's a brief description of her eighth book to date:
Who Asked You? casts an intimate look at the burdens and blessings of family and speaks to trusting your own judgment even when others don’t agree. McMillan’s signature voice and unforgettable characters bring universal issues to brilliant, vivid life.
Definitely sounds like something worth skimming! Pick it up!!
Now for our segment of the night, enjoy!

Hi. My name is Jessi Fenner, a native of Richmond, Va. I've always enjoyed seeing natural styles as an adolescent but was always scared to get locs in my teens because I didn't think I'd like how I looked with locs. March of 2011 I decided to rid myself of my perm and September of 2011 I decided to just go for it and start my locs.
Having locs is always the topic of discussion where ever I go. There are those who inquire about the journey thus far because they may be interested in getting locs or have had them but cut them for the excuse of locs are too much work.
Locs are much more popular today but always peak the interest of others.
The advice I always give is if you are just starting locs, be patient. It is a very tedious but oh so rewarding process. Moisturizing and keeping your hair clean is of utmost importance.
The past two years haven't been easy but this is the best decision I've ever made for my hair. Be proud of your locs!

As always, Stay Classy!!
