As the weather begins to get warmer and the clothing begins to get a lot shorter and revealing, I've noticed more and more people with all different sorts of tattoos in places I think to myself, "Why didn't I think of that." It's becoming evident that tattoos are becoming less of a fade and more of a trend, there is a very fine line between the two.
In my opinion, placement and size are everything. You could have a dope tattoo and place it in such an awkward spot that it looks trashy or too....not ghetto, but...yes, ghetto.
Take R&B singer Keyshia Cole for instance.

This extremely huge tattoo isn't completely hideous but the fact that it takes up half of her arm with one solid horrid color makes it look terrible.
Tattoos are a form of artistic expression and can also be seen as a symbol of moving from one place to another in your life.

Kat Von D's tattoos scream fashion! They also make a statement as to who she is and the artist she is known to be.
A tattoo fad to stay away from, getting prints tattooed. If you want to sport leopard prints, buy them on a shirt or some pumps..

When choosing a tattoo, remember, it is NOT magic marker, it is PERMANENT!
Also, never get a tattoo done by someone who doesn't have any themselves.
